44-year-old Pablo Franco Martin is a hot contender for Pirates’ head coaching position. The Madrid-native tactician has had a string of interesting jobs. They include Opposition Analyst for Real Madrid as well as Head Coaching roles for Tanzanian club Simba SC, AmaZulu, Kuwaiti team Qadsia SC and now Al-Faisaly in Saudi Arabia’s second division.
“There have been discussions between Pablo Franco Martin and Orlando Pirates,” an insider exposed.
There has been an offer made, but he is not the only coach the club is eyeing, and there are other better suitables. He is very interested in the Pirates job, and he has since quit the club where he was employed in Saudi Arabia despite being offered to see his salary increase in a bid to see his contract extended.
