Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos acknowledges that the emergence of newer players is making his job harder following the team’s 2-0 win over Mozambique on Tuesday night.
Hugo Broos was asked to comment after the game and this is what he had tosay..
“Today was a very good performance, we had so many chances. In the first half, we could easily have been 3-0 up. The ball circulation was good, and there was a lot of movement within the team. So, overall, I’m very happy with the game, and the second half was also strong,” Broos shared with SABC Sport.“
We made some adjustments, and Kwayiba was much better in the second half compared to the first, so I think we fully deserved the win today.
”“He [Kwayiba] could have scored three goals today, but the chances were there, and the way we created them was impressive. Our pressing against the opponent was also effective, so looking back at the two games,
I can honestly say I’m a happy coach,” Broos added.Broos expressed satisfaction in giving younger players a chance during this international break.“Yes, I think it was the right time to do it.
Age doesn’t matter when you’re young and have quality. For me, if I see they have what it takes, they get an opportunity, and some players really grabbed their chance in both games,” he said.“So now, with these young talents, it’s making my job tougher when I have to make choices for the World Cup qualifiers in September.
But it’s a good problem to have, as they are young and full of potential. I’m really happy to have these kinds of players,” Broos concluded.
